Social responsibility and recognition

The work of Ukrzernoprom Agro is based on principles of social responsibility. Social responsibility means achieving commercial success via socially responsible means, which adhere to ethical principles and respect the dignity of people, communities, and the environment.

Ukrzernoprom Agro is actively involved in finding solutions to important social problems in rural areas. Ukrzernoprom Agro provides assistance to those institutions in most need of help: hospitals, orphanages, churches, and schools. We finance the purchase of medical equipment for hospitals and donate to schools located in settlements where our farms operate.
 

Ukrzernoprom Agro is awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certificate confirming compliance with international standards of quality management.
Ukrzernoprom Agro is the only Ukrainian crop growing company certified according to ISO 9001:2000 standards.

Recognition

During operational years, the Company and its management have received recognition for its employees, partners, farmers, and the inhabitants of villages where the subsidiaries of Ukrzernoprom Agro operate, as well as the recognition of the Ukrainian Government and the Orthodox Church.

For many years, Ukrzernoprom Agro subsidiaries have won awards and certificates for their achievements in agriculture. For example, in 2004, SE Pivdenne was awarded a prize for its gross grain harvest (13,548 t) and for record yields (4.53 t/ha).




For its significant contribution to the agro-industrial sector of the economy and the processing industry of Ukraine, the President of the Company, Mr. Anton Shyshkin, was awarded the Order “For Services” (grades III and II). Mr. Shyshkin’s awards also include the Certificate of the Verkhovna Rada “For [his] Services to the Ukrainian People”.

Mr. Shyshkin and Ukrzernoprom Agro CEO, Mr. Eugene Leng, were awarded the Orders of Prince Volodymyr (III degree) and the Order of Saint Illya Muromets for their meritorious charitable work with the Orthodox Church.
 

In February, 2008 Eugene Leng received Commendation “For [his] Noticeable Contribution to the Agro-Industrial Sector of Ukraine” from Arseniy Yatseniuk, the Head of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

As a reward for its valuable contribution to winter rapeseed growing technology during the 2007/2008 marketing year, Ukrzernoprom Agro was granted a diploma.

The diploma was presented to the Company’s chief agronomist Viсtor Esypenko by Dr. Frank Grosse, member of the management board of  Norddeutsche Pflanzenzucht Hans-Georg Lembke KG , one of the world’s leading producers of high-quality rapeseed hybrids. 

In August 2008 Nikolayev oblast’s governor granted Pivdenne, one of Ukrzernoprom Agro’s farms, an official thank you letter for harvesting more than 10 ths tons of grain produced in 2008.

On June 18, 2008 the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption awarded Viktor Panasenko, security director of Ukrzernoprom Agro, with the merit badge "Honor, Courage, Law" as a reward for his active citizenship and allegiance to the state.

In 2009 President Victor Yushchenko awarded the rank of “Honored Worker of Agriculture of Ukraine” to General Director Eugene Leng.
